Trogir

We finally arrived in Trogir mid afternoon, and spent the next few hours exploring the old town. As with other Croatian towns along the coast, there are narrow windy cobblestone streets and lots of well preserved ancient buildings.

We are staying at the Hotel Pasike on the water just outside the Old Town wall. We were able to charge the camera battery with the conveniently located US style outlet in the room. A nice touch that saved us from searching for a converter.

We had a fabulous vegetarian dinner at Mirakul. After about a hour of wandering around the old town trying to find a vegetarian meal, we came upon Mirakul. The chef said that she would put a vegetable plate together for us, and the meal she prepared was something to behold and savor. It filled the whole table... grilled zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, melon, carrots, tomatoes, and potatoes, plus broccoli, peas, and Swiss chard. Plus fresh baked garlic bread.
