Bicycling from Orebic

We started the day with a short hike to
a Franciscan Monastery and the Our Lady of Angels Church on a 150 meter hill overlooking the coast. Beautiful views and a great way to stretch our legs before breakfast.

While our breakfast tastes are pretty simple, the breakfast buffet included everthing from eggs and meat to cheesecake.

After breakfast, we left the hotel in the cool of the early morning and biked east along the coast through picturesque small villages and Dingac vineyards.

There was one brief stretch of gravel road that was a bit of a challenge but the vistas were magnificent and it was great the challenge our muscles on the uphills.

We stopped at Podobuce for a snack then continued to Dingacki Skolj where Ziva prepared a lunch of avocado salad, cheese, bread and fruit as we swam in the quiet bay.

After lunch, we decided to ride back to Orebic in order to have time to bike west along the coast when the temperature cooled.

Our second ride took us through Kuciste, Viganj to Sv. Ivan. The area is a prime spot for wind and kite surfers.

In Sv. Ivan we found a small church by the sea. Ursula suggested it might be a monument to sailors.

We ended the day with dinner at Karakoram overlooking the sea on Orebic.
