Plitvicka Jezero National Park

We spent the day at Plitvicka Jezero (lakes) National Park in central Croatia - an amazing lush landscape of lakes and cascading waterfalls.

The park is a magnet for tourists from all over europe as well as a popular destination for Croatian school trips - the kids looked to be about 1.

We hiked around 6 lakes over the course of 7 hours and were constantly wowed by each new sight. The water was crystal clear and the weather was perfect.

The waterfalls were spectacular but the the foliage growing out of the rapidly flowing water was even more impressive.
