Hiking on Korcula

Today we went on two hikes, the first a loop through the woods around Zrnovo and then a loop though terraced lands that had once been vineyards down to a small cove in Smrc.

We swam in the clear cool water of the Adriatic and had a lovely picnic lunch on the rocky beach. We shared our cherries with a very friendly butterfly we landed on Art's hand and started licking cherry juice off it.

At the beach we chatted with a couple from Germany who were staying in the area and had jogged to the beach and a young woman from Quebec who was touring the area by bicycle and followed the slightly marked rocky path to the shore. They all asked advice from Ursula on how to get back to where they started.

We had a couple of hours to relax between the hike and dinner and enjoyed the cool breeze from the hotel patio watching the world go by and the sea.
