This morning we visited a check point at 6 am. We walked along a half mile or so of the wall to get there. If you love Justice, you can't can't help but cry over this injustice. If you have a God, you can't help but wonder how this scab on the land and on the life of every Palestinian fits into his/her plan.
The treatment of the Palestinians makes me think of Ursula Le Guin's short story "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas". The happiness and success of the people of Omelas depends on the misery of a single child, kept locked beneath it in squalor and torture. Does the happiness of the Israelis depend on the misery of the Palestinians?
Is that God's plan or is God crying with the Palestinians? In this wonderful world, is there not sufficient abundance to share? When Netenahu meets his maker what will the conversation be? If you stand silently as this happens, what will your's be?
Morning commute involves being dropped off on the Palestinian side of the wall, walking through the checkpoint, being thoroughly searched, and if you have the right permit and God willing, taking some type of transport to your job on the other side.
There were hundreds more posters that we did not have time to photograph
