Thursday Nazareth

Nazareth 

We decided to spend the day in Nazareth today rather than get on the bus. 

Nazareth is the largest city in the North District of Israel. It is sometimes referred to as "the Arab capital of Israel". The residents are predominantly of Arab citizens of Israel and most are either Muslim or Christian.

Some points of interest 

Mary’s Well is the designated  site where the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her that she would bear the Son of God.

After the tour we walked to the highest point in Nazareth, about 490 meters and then explored the old city.
