Crater Lake 2011

Crater Lake was one of our dreamtrips.  Absolutely stunning vistas.  Two things struck us.  The depth of the snow in the winter appears to be over 12 feet as measured by the polls outlining the access road and the several signs on the trails warning us to "Stay On Trail" and "Don't Hike Over The Rim". Neither of these ever occurred to us.
